Spectrelle is being built for families navigating something deeply personal, so we treat privacy as a feature, not fine print. This page explains what we collect today (while the app is in development and this site offers a waitlist), and the principles we’re committed to as the product grows.
What we collect right now
If you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you give us and basic, non-identifying technical information needed to deliver the page (for example, which section a sign-up came from). That’s it. We do not ask for information about your child to join the waitlist.
How we use it
- To let you know when Spectrelle opens for early access.
- To send occasional, relevant updates about the product, never spam.
- To understand overall interest so we build the right things.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Where it’s stored
Waitlist sign-ups are stored in our own secured cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services. We keep your email only for as long as we need it for the purpose above, or until you ask us to remove it.
Your choices
- Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe.
- You can ask us to delete your details at any time by contacting hello@spectrelle.com.
The app’s privacy promises
The Spectrelle app handles some of the most sensitive information a family has — behaviour, health, and wellbeing records about an autistic child. These are the promises the app is built around, not policy afterthoughts.
Never sold, never shared with advertisers
There are no ads, no third-party trackers, and no data brokers anywhere in Spectrelle — the app or this website. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use third-party analytics. Even our own product measurement uses only counts and timestamps of our own service — never the content of anything you record.
Your family owns its data
- Export everything, any time — a complete JSON export and a behaviour-log CSV, generated on your phone and shared wherever you choose. Included on the free plan, always.
- Delete everything, any time — deleting your account in the app removes every record you’ve created and the account itself. No emails to write, no waiting period, no retained copies of your child’s records.
Sealed per family
Every record is tied to your account and enforced server-side: no other account can read, change, or delete it. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest — including anything you capture while offline, which is encrypted on your device until it syncs.
Sharing is yours to scope
When you export a report for a clinician, therapist, or school, you choose exactly which topics it covers and can add a note for the recipient. The report itself states what you chose not to include, so nothing is silently missing — and nothing leaves the app unless you send it. Product analytics can be switched off entirely in the app’s settings.
Caregiver check-ins are yours alone
Your own wellbeing check-ins are private to you. They never appear in your child’s record, in printed or exported reports, or in anything shared with your child’s care team.
Children’s data, held to the strictest bar
Spectrelle is used by parents and caregivers — we never collect information directly from children. Information about your child is held to COPPA-grade standards for children’s data, and we follow HIPAA-aware practices throughout, even though Spectrelle is a wellness support tool — not a medical device, healthcare provider, or a service that gives medical advice.
